Having spent the past three years working as a Research Associate, I’ve made the decision to return to the Intelligent System Research Centre as a PhD student.

My PhD title is “Intelligent assessment and learning personalisation in Virtual 3D Immersive Environments” which follows on from my research experience in the centre and my BSc (2008) and MSc (2010) dissertations.

The aim of the PhD is to investigate the benefits of teaching and learning in virtual worlds and to evaluate how virtual learning environments and virtual worlds can be integrated and extended to include an intelligent tutoring/assessment system which gathers information on how the students interact with the virtual world and adapts their learning experience based on their individual needs and skills.. as detailed here.

Here’s to the next three years.
